National Signs is proud to be based in Houston, TX. We love that Houston is a unique city full of diverse cultures and industries, but one thing that brings us together like no other is our city’s incredible events! And, these events need a venue.
Throughout our company history, we have created fantastic signage for several of our local stadiums and arenas. You’ve probably seen the signage on TV or when attending events at NRG Stadium, Toyota Center, Minute Maid Park, and other venues.
We appreciate that these major venues trust National Signs to design, fabricate, install, and maintain memorable signage that makes each venue stand out on the big stage.
Sign Projects We Have Delivered for Major Houston Venues
Consider these examples of signage we have delivered for Houston’s landmark stadiums and arenas that have hosted sporting events, concerts, rodeos, and other major events.
NRG Stadium
Built in 2002, NRG Stadium (originally Reliant Stadium) is a 1.9 million-square-foot stadium with four massive concourse levels, 196 suites, and a retractable roof. It’s no stranger to large crowds, hosting a multitude of major events, including the ever-popular Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. And when the fall season rolls around, NRG Stadium becomes gameday central for our coveted Houston Texans football team.
If you watch a football game on television, you’re likely to see an aerial view of the stadium. That’s where you’ll catch a glimpse of the large signs that we created that are affixed to the roof of the building.
Back in 2014, National Signs was entrusted with a major rebranding project in conjunction with the stadium’s name changing from Reliant Stadium to NRG Stadium. We helped build and install these eye-catching signs that feature illuminated channel letters with NRG’s colorful logo in the center. Check out this awesome video showcasing the rooftop signage!
Toyota Center
Built in 2003, Toyota Center is home to our NBA team, the Houston Rockets. This facility, located at 1510 Polk Street in downtown Houston, is truly a landmark. With colorful pops of Rockets red, this massive arena stands out among the downtown office buildings and nearby restaurants. National Signs had the opportunity to install signage for this arena, which spans across six city blocks.
In addition to being the Rocket’s regular season home, the Toyota Center has hosted multiple NBA All-Star Games, major UFC and WWE events, and some of the world’s biggest concert tours from Beyonce to U2 to Carrie Underwood.
Toyota Center is also the first sports facility in Texas to earn the Silver Certification for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. We are proud to work with Toyota Center because our company’s DNA of urban renewal and beautification in Houston naturally attracts organizations that are similarly hard-wired.
Minute Maid Park
If baseball is more your speed, you’ll appreciate the next stadium on our list. Located at 501 Crawford Street, Minute Maid Park is home to World Series winners and our hometown baseball heroes, the Houston Astros. This one-of-a-kind downtown ballpark has partnered with National Signs for many of their signage needs.
Minute Maid Park opened in 2000 after the Astros relocated from Houston’s beloved landmark stadium, the Astrodome. For the first time in 35 years, Houston delivered open-air baseball, thanks to Minute Maid’s 242-ft high retractable roof.
In addition to featuring memorable signage that can be seen from the U.S. 59 Eastex Freeway, Minute Maid Park is also known for its train feature. Modeled after a 19th-century locomotive, the train runs along the west side of the ballpark and blows its whistle after each Astros home run!
Upgrade Signage At Your Houston Area Venue
We have worked with several other venues across the Greater Houston area. We appreciate the opportunity to elevate signage for each venue to help make a bold, long-lasting impression.
Because we are located near the Medical Center, our 50,000 square foot manufacturing facility is the perfect location to design and fabricate amazing signage that can be quickly delivered to your venue.
Now is the perfect time to upgrade signage or install new signage in anticipation of venues being allowed to return to full capacity. Houstonians are longing to feel the energy and excitement in the crowd when our hometown team wins the big game, or a favorite band takes the stage. When that time comes, National Signs wants your venue to be ready.
We’re here to make sure your venue is in tip-top shape. If you need to upgrade your existing signage or add completely new signage, we can help.
